The Old Zoo, an uncanny look into the past.

The Old Zoo was first built in 1912 and continued to operate until it closed during the 1960's. Walking through the site, I was filled with feelings of amazement and excitement. However, the feeling of discontentment took over as I encountered rows of decaying cages, animal enclosures and exhibits that once were occupied by various animals. In addition, graffiti filled walls and decomposing structures were at every corner I turned. However, despite the manner things were kept, it was an incredible look into a piece of history and I walked away knowing that it will remain just that, history- motionless in time.
